Indian Butter Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless chicken, diced
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 cup tomato puree
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Steps

  1. Marinate chicken in yogurt, turmeric, and chili powder for 30 mins.
  2. In a pan, melt butter, sauté onions until golden, add ginger-garlic paste.
  3. Add marinated chicken, cook until browned.
  4. Stir in garam masala, tomato puree, and salt. Simmer until chicken is cooked.
  5. Garnish with cilantro and serve over rice.
