Teriyaki Salmon Skewers

Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon fillets, cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 1 tablespoon sake
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sake, and brown sugar to create the teriyaki marinade.
  2. Thread salmon cubes onto skewers and place them in a shallow dish.
  3. Pour half of the teriyaki marinade over the salmon skewers, reserving the rest for basting.
  4. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat grill or grill pan. Grill the salmon skewers, basting with the reserved marinade, until fully cooked.
  6. Serve the Teriyaki Salmon Skewers with steamed rice or as part of a Japanese-style barbecue.
