Ingredients

  • 800g of salted cod
  • 1kg of potatoes
  • 4 onions
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1dl of olive oil
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Steps

  1. Start by soaking the cod in water for 24 hours, changing the water 3 times.
  2. Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin slices.
  3. Peel and slice the onions and garlic.
  4. In a pan, place a layer of potatoes, a layer of cod, a layer of onions and garlic, and a few parsley leaves. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used.
  5. Season with salt and pepper and drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Cover with water and cook over low heat for about 40 minutes.
  7. Serve hot and garnish with chopped parsley.
